Karen Friedman Memorial Baseball Camp for a Cure

Swinging for the fences.

A non-profit baseball camp for kids hits a home run with awareness and community support.

Challenge

How does a single-day, grassroots youth event provide more?

Wanting to provide more to young athletes, graduating high school students, and breast cancer research, the KF Baseball team found they were missing key elements to evolve into something larger.

More was attainable.

Visual Identity

Creating a logo mark

A bold, swinging youth athlete shows the bat path in the shape of a breast cancer ribbon to create a memorable mark that provides just enough feminity and masculinity to the pink color palette.

Website

Ease of registration.

Obtaining the URL and creating a site organized the story and process into an easy process. Parents were now able to sign their children up, choose a shirt size, and pay with a few clicks.

Social Media

Gaining Awareness.

Like Scotty Smalls under the wings of Benny the Jet, the KFBaseball team has been continuously growing awareness for their cause through their social media networks.

Print Collateral

Print produces.

A new brand identity grew the desire to create new print material. The KFBaseball team trusted us with bringing value to their brand by creating eye-catching pre and at-camp materials.

Outcome

Ongoing Awareness.

Having the opportunity to be a member of the KFBaseball Team has been amazing. With the proper tools and direction, this wonderful group of individuals has been able to continue exceeding the number of campers as well as money raised year over year — all in memory of a very special lady, Karen Friedman.

837 Design has taken our non-profit to an entirely different level. After a full year of working with 837 Design, we almost tripled our proceeds! 837 Design developed a perfect logo, a beautiful, easy-to-use, and informative website, as well as several marketing materials and social media sites. Our organization could not have gotten to where it had been without 837 Design.
